PTC brings global careers on land, in the air and at sea to Ilonggos

FEBRUARY 24, 2023

Over 500 job applicants from the province of Iloilo took part in the PTC Group's Special Recruitment Activity held at the Casa Real de Iloilo on February 22. The initiative was made possible through the collaboration of the PTC Talent Acquisition Group (TAG), headed by Capt. Ronald SJ. Enrile, with the help of Ms. Ma. Isabel Sotelo, PTC Iloilo Office Branch Manager, and the Iloilo Provincial Public Employment Service Office (PESO), headed by Mr. Francisco T. Heler, Jr., Provincial Government Department Head.

The recruitment teams of Philippine Transmarine Carriers, Inc., Jebsen PTC Maritime, Inc., Lifelinks International Resources, Inc., and MSC Crewing Services Philippines participated in the whole-day activity to present over 100 job openings that were made available to Ilonggos and the residents of the Western Visayas Region.

Rhagie Carbonell, a Facebook follower of MSC Crewing Philippines since 2021, was very happy to be hired and shared his excitement and appreciation with the organizers. "I’m really happy that I was finally hired by MSC Philippines. My experience was quite smooth since the event was very well organized and the staff was helpful and engaging. PTC is really a great company and I can say to future applicants that if they have a dream to pursue a global career, just come and apply with PTC," he said.

Some applicants who participated in the recruitment activity also shared their experiences of seizing the career opportunities that came their way. Devin Jay Bance, Jessyl Ann Sayson, and Israel John Muega, who did not know one another prior to the SRA, developed a friendship while submitting their applications to PTC, MSC, Jebsen PTC, and Lifelinks.
During the short program, Capt. Ronald SJ Enrile introduced each of the participating PTC business units and encouraged applicants to do well in the interviews. “Nandito po kami to open job opportunities para sa mga Ilonggos and we would want to expand our recruitment activities here in Iloilo. Kaya sana kapag kayo ay natanggap at nagkaroon ng trabaho, sana ibalik nyo rito sa bayan nyo yung kikitain nyo para mas lalo pang lumago ang ekonomiya ng Iloilo at mas marami pa tayong matulungang Pilipino,” he added.

Mr. Francisco T. Heler, Jr., head of PESO Iloilo, gave a short message to his fellow Ilonggos and expressed his sincerest thanks to the PTC Group for opening job opportunities through this activity.

PTC's Talent Acquisition team continues to promote the PTC Group and its mission of providing career opportunities to Filipinos. The team firmly believes that job creation can help reduce poverty, increase social cohesion, and boost the growth of local communities.
